After four years year of stalwart service, our Treasurer Phil Lloyd will be stepping down from this important role in March 2021, while continuing to be involved as a Trustee. We are, therefore, looking for a new Treasurer and would welcome interest from local people to join ADCA to fulfil this vital role for us. We are also planning to introduce the post of Assistant Treasurer to assist in this role including the week by week banking of cash receipts.
ADCA has an annual turnover of about £60,000. The accounts are in very good order and are reviewed each year by an external accountancy practice, which also deals with the returns to the Charity Commission and Companies House, as ADCA is both a charity and a limited company.
To enable a smooth handover it would be good to know of interest in the role ahead of our AGM which will be held online on 20th November 2020. We plan to have a handover period from Phil to the end of the ADCA Financial Year which is March 2021.
Being ADCA Treasurer means that you need to become a Trustee of ADCA and are committed to supporting vulnerable older people win our local community. You would be involved in helping oversee the operation of ADCA with our staff and the Chair, Vice-Chair and Secretary. It would be helpful if you have good accountancy experience and are familiar with PAYE. The ADCA website, adca.audlem.org contains full information about what we do, including our last Annual Accounts report for information.
