At the start of February, we were made aware that, following four successive Gold awards, one Pride of Cheshire and two Best Large Village in the North West — we were to be submitted to RHS Britain in Bloom — as in, The Nationals. So, no pressure!

North West in Bloom had asked us to keep it quiet for the time being until a) RHS said they felt we were worthy (of course, we are!) and b) for them to make their announcements to the Press.

The RHS judges have deemed us worthy of a placement in the Nationals. Whoo, and a massive hooo!

This means we will be judged twice in 2023, once with the usual NWIB judges, followed a couple of weeks later with the Big Boys! I'm hoping for Chris Beardshaw and Alan Titchmarsh for our judges.

A massive Thank You to all our volunteers who have helped us get to this fabulous stage. There will be call-outs a-plenty by the Boss, I'm sure!
