Yesterday, AudlemOnline covered two of the awards made at the ADAS (Audlem District Amenities Society) agm on Thursday night in the Public Hall – Geoff & Olive Stretch were awarded the Citizens of the Year accolade while Laura Bentley received the Young Citizen of the Year award.

Today it's the turn of The Garden of the Year and the Commercial Premises awards also presented on Thursday evening.

The Garden of the Year was won by Henry and Vanda Clemes of Limehurst, Woore Road, seen here receiving the trophy from David Latchford.

This year, ADAS reintroduced the Open Garden event which proved very popular and will hopefully remain as an annual event.

The Commercial Premises award was made to Oxtail & Trotter, Audlem's village butchers, who opened in July 2012 and have since revamped the courtyard and outbuildings which has seen new businesses opening there and providing a massive boost to Cheshire Street.

Kate and Hugh Pocock of Oxtail & Trotter are seen here receiving their award from David Latchford.
