This Audlem village facility is held in the Lord Combermere car park most Saturdays till October, between 10am and 12noon. We sell plants and produce grown locally in and around the small market town of Audlem. Come early and get the best of the crop.
Let's hope it is slightly drier for this week's stall, although the gardens need the rain.
There will be lots of plants to grow on in your own garden, in sixes petunia bedding plants, mini tobacco plants, ( I had an uncle who grow tobacco, dried it and smoked it! NOT a good idea with these plants).
Autumn and winter greens, self blanching celery and celeriac. Bean plants and maybe the odd tomato plant as well.
Strong parsley and oregano to add to the herb garden.
This year a lot of produce is slow getting going so there is still not much for the stall, hopefully still some rhubarb for the Sunday crumble. The bees have been working hard and hopefully the honey man will have some honey for this week. Eggs, green, light brown and dark brown with the yellowest yokes, lovely!
Thank you to the Lord Combermere for letting us hold the ADAPT food group stall every week. Even if you just want to talk gardening and sustainability, you will find a smile awaits you.
Come early and enjoy!
See you on Saturday!
