ADAPT Saturday Market

10am till noon this Saturday under Audlem' s Buttermarket.

Following last week s rabbit attack on the veg plot, those tasty vegetables have been re-sown in cages reminiscent of Fort Knox.

Lots of good news this week, the soft fruit has ripened, with trays or red currants, black currants and raspberries freshly picked. We've made some red currant jelly which can be used as a savoury dressing for pork or lamb, or used on toast which is my favourite.

Also to complement the toast are a variety of marmalades and some rhubarb and ginger jam. If you fancy making the jam we have fresh Rhubarb on the market as well.

Fresh free range eggs are with us again, so is the honey and apple juice.

The bakers have made some shortbread.

Also there are cut flowers, runner bean plants, lettuce plants, and a wide range of perennial plants to add colour to your garden or patio.

One picture shows recycled empty tea light candles waiting to be re-filled with non toxic natural beeswax. Please save up your used ones we will recycle them again and again.
