63 Years a Winner

Many will know that local resident Harry Knapper was a boxer of considerable repute.

In 1949, at the age of 18, he won his first Welter Weight Boxing Title and went on to win more over the coming years.

Switch the age digits from 18 to 81 and Harry just keeps on winning trophies. It may not be boxing anymore – even the more outrageous boxing comebacks rarely stretch to champs in their eighties – as Harry's game is now golf.

This past weekend, he picked up yet another trophy in the Captain's Day Event at Hill Valley Golf Club.

Many congratulations to Harry who fears this story may result in much teasing from friends and colleagues in the pub. Surely not, we think – it should be drinks all round!
