Good to hear there will be facilities in Audlem for booster Covid vaccinations. But a word of warning at the last session for spring boosters they had run out of vaccine well before the official end of the advertised time. So my advice is if you intend to use the walk in facilities go early.

Hi – does anyone have a bulk gas delivery recommendation ? Thanks so much !
Thanks to everyone for the prompt and helpful advice about covid boosters and the car parking in West Street – apologies for the misinformation – my last visit was to the actual chemist and I didn't spot the parking over the road! Very pleased that we are to have drop-in sessions announced in 'News' today,
My wife has found a mobile phone whilst walking the dog in Kettle lane , it is damaged but still working
Anybody who thinks it's there's please ring the phone and I will give you my address to collect
Can anybody recommend a local gardener?

Hi
Can anyone recommend an art tutor for gcse level please
I found booking a Covid jab very easy Dial 119 answer the fw questions by pressing the suggested numbers (only1 or 2) and a very pleasant and helpful assistant registered me and arranged for an appointment at Market6 Drayton fire station. Very satisfactory all round.

Not to detract from a possible drop-in session at the Public Hall – for those wishing to book booster jabs soonest, the parking for West Street pharmacy is plentiful. It is directly opposite the actual pharmacy by the motorbike garage (& marked vaccination centre) and parking is on the waste group there; the clinic likewise (marked as Hollowood Chemists). Public transport, as mentioned, not so plentiful!
From experience, West Street option isn't too bad if you have transport. The clinic is in a building opposite the chemist and there is car parking space around it. Otherwise it's only a short walk from Morrisons car park.
Have used West St before and it was OK but have seen Peak Pharmacy attached to Market Drayton Medical Centre is listed and have booked my Covid19 jab there. Nearer and far more convenient to get to
I agree with Tim's comments except to say there is plenty of parking at the vaccination centre at West Street which is actually in a building in the car park opposite the pharmacy. Had my booster there Tues evening and had no problem and they were very efficient.
Paul Furber is highly recommended. He has done several handyman jobs for us including fixing a rogue lock recently. Paul's nomber is 07708 008626.
Hi can anyone recommend an art tutor or someone who can teach gcse art to a year 11 pupil in their home in market Drayton please ?
I expect there are plenty of older people in Audlem who have been sent reminders about getting Covid booster jabs in the last day or so. Checking online as suggested offers West Street in Crewe as the nearest drop in or bookable vaccination centre followed by locations towards Newcastle and Stoke on Trent. Given that there are centres in small settlements like Barnton and Weaverham why not Nantwich or Audlem? West St Crewe has poor parking and is not accessible by public transport from Audlem. Was this planned?
Can anyone recommend a handyman who might be able to come and have a look at the lock on my front door please – don't need new one but keeps sticking and reluctant to spend a fortune on an actual locksmith
I have used a handyman from
Audlem online in the past but he's no longer listed ?
Does any body have a recommendation for a company to install UV Solar Film on windows?
Hello. Does anyone have an old, large Blacksmiths anvil they don't want anymore? If it's within my price range and you don't want it because your fed up with stubbing your toe on it in the shed, could I have it please. I'll pay the postage. (Only joking, I'm guessing you'd rather me pick it up.......with the aid of a Fork Lift Truck. I'll sort that out of course)
Many thanks.

I'm looking for a gardener to start a regular slot to undertake weeding, planting, tree maintenance in Hatherton. If anyone has any availability soon, please do get in touch. Thanks.
Hello everyone, I just wanted to say I moved to the village 7 years ago and generally keep myself to myself. I have met some great people who are born and bred Audlem and have become good friends to them. I do find it so strange why a small number of people get so irate about paying a £1 to park in the grand scheme of things. When I speak to many locals most actually think it's not a bad thing as so many non locals use it as a personal car park.
I do hope Cheshire East will be able to find a way of extracting money from on line shops and supermarkets in future – because that's all that will be left trading if their parking charge plans go ahead. I suggest they do a quick Google search and avail themselves as to just how many high streets up and down the country have already been badly affected by such measures. Lack of parking and/ or parking charges ring the death knell for independent stores and the smaller mini – markets (such as Audlem Coop). Fine, if you like supporting corporate giants, and their shareholders – but these people contribute very little if anything to your local community, schools or village events & fundraising. Just what was the point in offering local businesses support during COVID – to then take the rug from under our feet later on ? Judy Evans Williams of Audlem.
How about tackling it from the back door in asking CE what they have done so far in saving their costs, before penalising everyone in trying to raise funds. An example being the shoddy pot hole management where 2 extra workmen are needed to direct traffic around the quick bucket filling of holes, whilst using their phones. I should think, rather like the NHS, that money is totally wasted on multiple management and admin layers.
Whilst I totally agree on the importance of seeing the wider context it does not help when Cheshire East Highways must waste many thousands of pounds each year on totally inadequate pothole repairs that they then have to redo a short time later.
Well said Lyn . I was at that meeting when the P C were mandated to purchase said field and car park. To say it's come back to bite us is a complete understatement. Still.we've got the Turnpike draining our limited resources. Very handy parking for the doctors . I'm sure no parking charges at Wrenbury for instance .
Whilst I am not in favour of introducing car-parking charges in Audlem, they should be seen in context. Council funding from central government since 2010 has fallen by at least a third yet their responsibilities have significantly increased. Thus, councils across the land, both Conservative and Labour, are in serious financial difficulty and seek any form of revenue raising opportunities, especially at a time of huge wage and price inflation There are very few council car parks in England, including those in Shropshire, that do not impose car-park charges. Cheshire East may or may not be guilty of 'mismanagement' but any resulting losses are chicken feed next to the huge wastage of billions spent on Test and Trace, fraudulent PPE contracts and the farcical HS2, money that would have alleviated many of the problems councils are facing.
