I think it is a little insestive, to have a hurst/horse drawn carriage parade on Saturday. In light of many of us locals mourning recent deaths. And who on earth is paying for this protest. Hopefully not the parish council! As this was not approved at council meetings. All for looking after the village shops but let's think a little about what we are protesting against people

We are looking for any enthusiastic photographers and video makers who would be happy to record our protest march on Saturday 4th November at 11.00 am for approximately 30 mins. We have been in touch with several media outfits who would like us to forward photos and video recordings but we need some enthusiastic people to offer help! Thank you to everyone who helped raise over £1500 for the Nantwich and District riding for the disabled on the 28th October. Thank you Sharon and Richard for all your hard work not just then but throughout the year. It was attended by many of our riders who attend our sessions at Reasheath college on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Thank you to all who supported us and Donated some fabulous items. Just wanted to say well done to Sharon, Richard and Tim and everyone else at the Bridge Inn for a brilliant day on Saturday for raising money for a great charity. It was a superb day and nice to see the pub packed with great locals supporting the event. Well done guys

Despite all "road closed" signs still in place, at 1000 Sunday morning Swanbach Ford was definitely passable. One carriageway dry, the other with but a big puddle.
How long before signs are removed???

Regarding Chris Turners post on the 19th saying: "I can't believe we have waited so long for Billy Gibbons to wade in on this.." I can tell you that Billy Gibbons was far too busy wading through 4ft+ high flood water in his sheds trying to rescue possesions that would, and have done in the past, ended up in the River Weaver had I not have done so. Flood water that the authorities have told me in no uncertain terms they are going to do absolutely nothing about. So to sum up; sorry for not 'wading in' regarding the song....other things on my mind at the moment. ;-)

I'm somewhat bemused by the editor's comment on 26th Oct with references to security procedures, Alcatraz and Fort Knox. There are power operated doors triggered by a push switch and beyond that it's the same as before with a touch check in screen and reception window.
I only hope said editor received adequate treatment for their evident confused state.

I can confirm that he is an excellent roofer. My job was done to a high standard and reasonably priced.

we have a leak coming in from the chimney /bungalow so its coming in where the extractor fan is in the kitchen .i can see a couple of people have recomended anthony jess ..can anyone tell me the name of his firm please?
