Kevin Mellor on Carpet fitter needed

5th December 2024 @ 8:37am

Is there a carpet fitter / does anyone know a carpet fitter locally who could refit a carpet following the installation of fitted furniture. The bulk of the carpet is in place but it needs reducing in size to fit the new space. If this could be completed urgently we would appreciate that. Please call me on 07802 554665. Thanks

Does anyone know of a Carl Beeston? Only I've had a letter delivered at my address with his name and my address. I have lived here for 16 years, so obviously he doesn't live here. So if anyone knows who he is, please let me know, so that I can forward this letter to him.
Many thanks.

Geoff Seddon on Audlem Parking Charges

When the parking charges were approved by Cheshire East, a category of 'up to 30 minutes' was agreed. I have checked and every town and village apart from Audlem and Holmes Chapel has this charge band! Why have we been excluded from this band? Something for the Parish Council and Ward Councillor to take up.

Paul Ashworth on Car Park Meter

You would think CE would do a more professional job of the Free after 3 notice, instead of a plastic wallet and tie wraps ( which could get ripped off or thought of as a scam)

Tues 3rd 11am. Small apricot dog seen running across Woore Road from Salford to School Lane. I followed it but lost sight of it when it went in to Vicarage Lane.

Stephanie Richardson on Car Park Meter

Ah, the parking meter, a marvel of modern engineering--except when it isn't. Nothing says 'welcome to the future' quite like a state-of-the-art machine proudly displaying completely wrong instructions. Why would anyone want to leave their car to seek change when it clearly doesn't take cash? Kudos to whoever masterminded this masterpiece of confusion. Truly, a beacon of technological progress, if progress is defined as paying for parking while deciphering hieroglyphs.

Peter Morgan on Audlem Parking Charges

2nd December 2024 @ 6:22pm

Put yourself in the position of Cheshire East, a tall order I know, but if you were to choose a location for the pay machine, would you choose to take up a cash generating car parking space ( right outside the medical Centre or would the obvious place be in the centre of the car park on the cobbled area? Alternatively, the grassed area opposite it's current location if you choose to make people walk to the bottom of car park to pay. But I guess we're lucky it's not sited by the Buttermarket. Just saying...

martyn measures on Flag on church

Will the flag be replaced with the Flag of Saint George which should be in situ if any... NOT the Union Flag ? Or is the Church now declassified from Church of England status ?

Ian Bourne on AGA Cooker

27th November 2024 @ 8:31pm

Based in Adderley we have a AGA oil fired stove which we no longer need and are happy to give it away to any home or business that can use it. Please contact me through via text or call with your contact details and I can forward you some pictures. Stove has 2 hot plates, oil powered. and was working last time it was connected to an oil supply. probably pre dates 1973 so the classic look and design. Buyer needs to organise removal and collection but no monies wanted for the cooker itself. Contact – Ian Bourne 07850261714. Thank you.

Andy Davidson on Santa at the Big Switch On

27th November 2024 @ 10:10am

How come when I looked at the bookings for Santa on AOL first thing this morning, and only just after the story first appeared on this site, virtually all the slots were already taken? Can bookings be made privately before they are made public? If so, can someone tell me how so I know for future years please!

Elizabeth Newton on Stable roofing

25th November 2024 @ 10:24am

Hi there,
Can anyone point me in the direction of someone to come and fix my stable roofing. The onduline has lifted in the strong winds and has now started to leak in patches. I will replace eventually but need someone who can come and help sort this temporarily for the remainder of the winter.
Many thanks
Lizzie

Emma Sanderson on ADCA christmas craft fair

23rd November 2024 @ 2:28pm

I wanted to say thank you to all involved with the craft fair on Saturday, we really enjoyed it. I also wanted to thank everyone who came to our rescue when my daughter dropped the little plant she had just bought. She was very upset but the offer of a cake, a new pot and someone to sweep up the soil made a huge difference. Thank you all!

After attending a talk today organised by ADCA from Surecare care providers. The lady mentioned there is a huge back log in contractors available to change bathrooms for the elderly in to wet rooms. I had my bathrooms fitted by contractors who did a fantastic job. I would be happy to pass on their details if anyone is interested?

Steve Reece on BREAKING NEWS: A BUS COMETH TO AUDLEM

16th November 2024 @ 10:03pm

It must be Christmas – a bus is coming to Audlem, even if it's only the COVID bus...perhaps they would be good enough to drop a few people off on their way back to civilisation in the absence of the cancelled bus services. Has anyone warned the COVID Bus operators that they will need to pay for parking in Audlem now?
