May meeting of Aston and District W.I.

Our May meeting took place on Friday 3rd May. Our guest speaker for the evening was Kristyna Vopickova from Yogak Wellbeing Studio in Nantwich who came to talk to us about facial yoga.It was a fantastic interactive evening with simple exercises, stretches and massage demonstrations that we could all try out.

Krystyna's bubbly personality and obvious passion for yoga made everyone feel at ease. We had lots of laughs whilst working those facial and neck muscles! There is so much more to Yoga though than exercise alone, more an approach to life and love of yourself and your community which Kristyna exuded. We all left feeling rejuvenated.

Our meeting was led by our vice president Heather Pass who updated us on all things WI both nationally, regionally and locally and a vote was taken on the resolution dental health matters, which was passed.

Walking group will meet at The Lion in Malpas at 10:30 Wed 8th May

Luncheon group meet at The Globe Nantwich at 12 noon on Tuesday 7th May

Next month we look forward to Mr Andrew Burrows talking about Trading Standards on Friday 7th June. New members and visitors always welcome.
