Vote Poll showing strong views against police merger

Three weeks into this month's Vote Poll on Audlem Online asking if you agree with Cheshire Police being merged with Merseyside Police, the voting so far has been strongly against the proposed merger. If you haven't voted yet, and would like to, make your selection of Yes/No/Unsure and click on to 'Vote Now' on the right of the Homepage.

The results will be passed to Cheshire Police at a senior level at the end of the month. While the previous Home Secretary, Charles Clarke, was prepared to force through the merger against the wishes of Chsehire Police, the new Home Secretary has put police mergers on hold while other key issues are tackled. We may only be one small community in Cheshire, but we are one of the very few, possibly the only community, that has regular vote polls online. Maybe we can make our voice heard — after all, we are the Cheshire Village of the Year!
