Vote Poll on public toilets

Home » Latest News » Vote Poll on public toilets

The latest Audlem Online Vote Poll is well underway asking for your views on the village's public toilets on the car park in Cheshire Street.

Four options are available in the poll. They are:

  • Keep Audlem's public toilets as they are (for posterity!)
  • Improve existing building and fit with conventional toilets
  • Knock them down — replace with modern facilities
  • Replace them with a new automated 'Superloo' design
In early voting there is little support for the 'Superloo' option. Is there a concern about the reliability of the technology, we wonder. Indeed, has anybody out there ever been trapped, spun round and thoroughly rinsed and sanitised in a Superloo. If so, do let us know.

Some do believe the existing toilets should be preserved for posterity but the bulk of the votes cast so far are for the second and third options.

Have your say on this local issue by voting now. And if you want to make a more detailed comment, please use the new updated Chatbox facility, described in yesterday's news.
