The results of the national and regional 'Village of the Year' awards will be announced today in London. As Audlem has already won the Cheshire 'Village of the Year' award, Richard Furber and Mike Hill will be attending the event, which is sponsored by Calor Gas, to hear if we have won. The awards are being made by Alan Titchmarsh.

DEFRA are also announcing the winners of the awards for 'Building Community Life' at the same event. Audlem has already won the Cheshire 'Community Life' award and so we are contenders for both the Calor Gas and DEFRA awards.

Watch out for news today.
