This Sunday, that man of the '50s celebrates his 50th. Billy Gibbons, one of Audlem's best known characters, hasn't admitted to Audlem Online if any very special celebratory prank is being lined up. After hitting the national media last Autumn by selling a cup of tea on eBay; being the only man for miles around with a rocket through his roof; having been the hero of a film about his life which was launched at the National Film Theatre in London two years ago, his 50th birthday surprise just has to be something very special. We do assume Professor Atom and Mr Rockabilly will be looking in with birthday greetings on the day.
We know he is a regular reader of Audlem Online, so we are all agog and waiting to hear what's planned. In the meantime, birthday cards, some with big 'I'm 50' badges, are available in Audlem's shops and Post Office!
