What is t.a.v.a.?
Touring Arts Visiting Audlem: An award winning group bringing professional touring arts to Audlem.
We are a small and friendly group of local residents with a passion for bringing high quality touring arts to Audlem. We host 2 fantastic events each year and we also organise creative workshops for children and young people.
We are part of the highly respected Cheshire Rural Touring Arts project which means we are able to bring to Audlem an amazing range of professional companies at affordable ticket prices. Events which would usually entail travelling miles to find.
We aim to complement the brilliant community based events that already take place in the village. We are a 'not for profit' group; any proceeds from events go in to funding future tava events.
What has tava achieved so far?
We have hosted 20 events and 51 workshops. Over 2200 people of all ages have come to our events and nearly 1500 children have attended our workshops.
Events range from 'the best performance poet around' Luke Wright to the world famous Zimbabwean Black Umfolosi 5; fresh from their Australian tour, the internationally renowned magicians Morgan and West to the hilarious Tall Stories; from the brilliant 'stand-up' quartet Graffiti Classics to a touch of Las Vagas cabaret with Garth Bardsley and the Sandra Lambert Trio. From 'Stone Soup' and 'Pandora's Box' to 'Jungle Book' and 'Alice in Wonderland'. And many many more.
What support does t.a.v.a. have?
We would like to say a big 'thank you' to all our supporters which include: Audlem Parish Council, Cheshire Rural Touring Arts, Cheshire East Council, Cheshire West Council, the Arts Council, Audlem St James' Primary School, Audlem St James' Church, Audlem Public Hall and Audlem on-line. And of course local residents.
