"We are in the territory of Spike Milligan, a bit of Python and a fair smattering of the Goons" says Fringe Review.
"Semi-anarchic, deadpan whimsy and surreal raconteuring" said The Stage.
After huge success with their Charity Shop Cabaret, Trifle Gathering Productions bring you their new show...direct from the other side.
This original piece of work is an intimate theatrical experience looking into the fascinating world of mediums and the origins of the spiritualist movement.
Travelling back in time to a darkened room set in 1872, brave observers are invited to join the world famous Ogden sisters at their table as they present the MARVELLOUS, the MYSTERIOUS and the SPIRITUALLY PECULIAR.
A dark tale of three broken sisters unveils as the audience voyage to the physical realm, through the etheric region and right up to the brass knocker of a portal door.
These three hilarious Victorian medium-sisters will be touring the length and breadth of the country. Drawing together clowning, choreography, magic, photography and deeply tragic comical characters, this show is an absurd and all-embracing experience laced together by a wild yet poignant story.
Sit back, grasp your neighbour firmly in the darkness...and prepare yourself FOR a RIDE.'
