Helen Chantry writes: "St James' Church is celebrating harvest this next weekend and you are very welcome to join us:

Friday 3rd October

Harvest supper and Barn dance, 7.00 for 7.30pm in the Public Hall. Tickets £9 from Jan Morgan — please call 811575.

Sunday 5th October

8.15 am — Holy Communion BCP

10.45am — Harvest Worship for all

2.00-4.30pm — Bell tower open for visitors (to raise money for the clock appeal)

6.30pm — Harvest Songs of Praise.

Helen adds that the Wetenhall Trust gives small grants to young people on apprenticeships or in higher education. For more details contact Helen Chantry 01270 811543.
