Spectacular display to music

ASET, the Audlem Special Events Team, with the the assistance of Blitz Fireworks, put on an astonishing show of pyrotechnic virtuosity last night with a musical firework display that surpassed all expectations.

We always knew Handel knew a thing or two about setting music to fireworks, or is it the other way round? But Blitz's performance with numbers like Great Balls of Fire and Diamonds in the Sky set the bar very high indeed while the operatic finale rightly drew gasps of amazement from the crowd.

The rockets shot spectacularly left and right as well as up, seemingly in perfect time to the rock numbers while the astonishing final minute of the show lit up the sky with every colour in an explosion of light.

Fortunately, the rain and wind held off during the display which was fired off by 5-year old Ellis while the lively DJ Dave Johnson of Signal Radio 2 kept everyone entertained between the lighting of the bonfire and display.

Another great event by ASET.
