One of Audlem Online's regular correspondent's asks if she's missed something but where are the bike stands (referred to in Richard Furber's report). She looked between the
Buttermarket and the chemist and there was nothing. Did they get stolen or
moved, she asks? It also appears that a number of Union flags from the superb display in the village centre have disappeared. If you see anybody suspicious, for example walking through the village carrying Union flags on long flagpoles, do let the authorities know. ASET go to enormous efforts to decorate the village with flags and bunting and we don't want the display spoilt.
On a brighter note, we are told that this month's journal of the Cheshire Family History Society has a colourful
picture of the canal in Audlem taken by Howard Hilton.
