Audlem Online has received a number of queries from readers as to whether the brown garden waste bins are being collected tomorrow as well as the silver recycling bins.
According to the Cheshire East website, they are — well, sort of!
Confused — well, an Audlem Online reader writes since we first posted this story: "The Cheshire East website says that the service is suspended in January and resumes on week commencing 30th January. That statement was still there on their recycling page at 17.30 today."
So, it all depends on which part of the Cheshire East website you look at — we put in the Audlem Online HQ's post code, and up pops both bins being collected on 10th January.
Maybe, if your normal collection is on Tuesday 10th January, put both bins out and let's see what happens.
Later update: We have now heard that the recycling sites for garden waste don't expect any deliveries until the end of January so don't hold out too much hope of a brown bin collection Tuesday morning.
However, put your postcode in to the Cheshire East's website telling you about collections, and it will give both bins being collected on 10th January. Something wrong somewhere.
Incidentally, there used to be stickers placed each year or so on the bins with details of all collection days but these seem to have ceased. This would avoid all the confusion and be helpful to all those residents who cannot go on — and be confused by — the Cheshire East website.
