Hoc's Fat Pigeon shop

Love this time of year, run up to the festive season, the village comes alive, and there is a wonderful buzz in the air.

Nothing better than trying to entice you away from the supermarket drudge with some lovely treats that you can surprise family and friends with this Christmas.

Try something simple like a delicious sauce that they would not normally buy themselves.  We have Leon's Handmade tagine sauce range alongside the Gurkha range of sauces, Achars (chutney's) and Hillboy chilli sauce — now that is a hot gift! Not to mention the beautifully packaged spice kits from Spice-n-Tice that were a favourite stocking filler last year.

Hoc's Fat Pigeon, like the rest of your local shops, have also got a wonderful range of gift ideas as well, so save yourself the rush and bustle this weekend and visit your local shops, you will not be disappointed.

I can heartily recommend the ribs if you like a meaty dish. And as I stood talking with Alan, I remarked to myself what a superb butcher he is , with a really splendid display as seen on my photo. He must have...
