Saints March On!

Sunday's game saw Audlem Saints U9s take on Alsager Town Bears. Going into the game, both sides had won 3 from 3 and scored 10 goals in the process. What was expected to be a tight game was, in fact, settled pretty quickly. Saints absolutely flew from the first whistle and rather bludgeoned Alsager with excellent football to rattle in three quick goals.

That trend was to continue in the next two periods with Audlem adding 3 goals in each to run out eventual 9-1 winners! Alsager actually played pretty well but the Audlem boys hardly put a foot wrong. Accurate passing, crisp finishing and unselfish play created many chances which were clinically finished. Pick of the goals were probably a 20-yard screamer into the top corner, a seven touch passing move that was eventually tapped home and a great individual run and finish. A performance to be truly proud of.

Next week's game is at 3.25pm Vs Bocca Juniors — with most of the team scheduled at a football party earlier in the day, it may be an interesting one!
