Are you a ex- Stoke-on-Trent/North Staffordshire person?
Do you remember the Jabez stories in the Sentinel and on radio Stoke in the 1970's?
The author Wilf Bloor (as A. Scott) would have been one hundred last month and to mark the occasion his sons have brought out a compendium edition of his stories enhanced with photographs of places and people featuring in the stories.
A gentle sense of humour and full of interesting country lore, they are a good read.
You can also hear the author saying some of the sentences if you can read QR codes!
