Joan Salmon, from Pickering in North Yorkshire, is looking for family history information on the following families from Audlem; Shuker; Dooler; Penlington and Dykes.
She writes: "Mary Shuker was born about 1766, and I believe her father was Samuel Shuker; she married 1) in 1786, Thomas Dooler who was an innkeeper (I would like to know where) and 2) in 1792, Benjamin Penlington, both times in Audlem. Mary and Benjamin were my 3X great grandparents: their daughter Ann Penlington, born in 1807, married John Dykes and moved to Stoke-on-Trent, Staffs.
"I would be grateful for any details regarding the earlier Shuker and Penlington families especially.
If you have any information, please send it to Audlem Online and we will forward it to Joan Salmon.
