Audlem Online has received the following report from the village's policeman, PC Ken Maple:

"On the evening of Friday the sixteenth of June a resident of Bagley Lane was driving in Wood Orchard Lane when he encountered four youths who were acting suspiciously. The youths were in possession of some property which the man thought may have been stolen, so he detained them at the scene and called the police. All four were then arrested, and when interviewed they admitted entering a nearby engineering workshop and stealing property.

A number of people were involved in assisting the police with this matter and I would like to thank all those concerned for their public spirited efforts."
