Family time with Santa

Nearly ten years ago, the Big Switch On event was inaugurated by Audlem Traders.

It has grown since with the organisational skills of ADAS, the participation of the Audlem Lass and Santa, and not least the choir from Audlem St James Primary School, into one of the major events in the village calendar.

How time flies and how it has grown !

Saturday, November 30th

This year, for the first time, the day following the Big Switch On (i.e. Saturday, November 30th) will be a new trial event, "Super Santa Saturday !"

Audlem shops, cafes and pubs will be open as usual, and it is hoped that the village will give its full support to our wonderful high street.

There's so much on offer in our local establishments; from big brand names, traditional fayre, eco-friendly products,... to local and/or artisan crafted gifts ....and a warm welcome will of course be extended from those vending food & drink.

Super Santa Saturday will feature

  • Santa will be in his grotto from 11.00am to 3.00pm — no booking necessary for our trial event.
  • Audlem Lass will be doing short sparkling boat trips in the pound from the Shroppie Fly Wharf — again catch them from 11.00am to 3.00pm.
  • Meet and greet our very own Princess Elsa!

So catch some more pre-Christmas festive village atmosphere on Super Santa Saturday !!
