25th May at Hankelow

Note — meeting on Hankelow Green at 9.30am.

Kate Down will be leading a short circular walk on Saturday from Hankelow. It will be about 5 miles in length and pretty easy underfoot unless we have torrential rain between now and then. There are a few stiles.

Kate suggests that we meet on Hankelow Green at 9.30 am.

As the last walk on the spring bank holiday weekend was only attended by 2 members, it would be very useful if you could let Kate know if you intend to join this walk.

NB All walkers must have suitable footwear and be prepared for adverse weather, carry food and water to last for the entire walk and be suitably fit for the various lengths of walk.

Each walk is led by a nominated leader who will carry some first-aid equipment. The leader has the right to refuse to include in a group anyone who is felt not be adequately equipped.

Non-members of ARS are welcome to come on a walk but are expected to join ARS and pay the membership fee after a trial walk or two.

The last few weeks have been quite busy as regards activity and plans for the field.
