Santa in the days of Covid

Home » Latest News » Santa in the days of Covid

In all the gloom that has descended on the country and indeed the world, we must seek as much allowable light in our lives as we are able- given the current rules enforced upon us by COVID -- 19.

Sadly I fear that we will see even more moves that will further give rise to further deep depression and dark days.

In an atmosphere of much fear in the minds of many and the enforced isolation, we are unable to have Santa arrive -as was the case for many years before- on the Audlem Canal by his boat, and to be greeted by the huge crowds of children with their parents -- and as such, no Grotto !

A very sad realisation for all .

But !

Santa will again be here on his Sleigh and will travel all the roads, avenues, streets and lanes over the weekend of December 5th and 6th , bringing the spirit of Christmas as much as we are safely allowed .

We so hope this repeat of all the times past will please all .

On behalf of Santa ,

Ralph Warburton
