As a possible follow up to Angela Barnett's post regarding the vandalism at lock 10, I feel strongly about this sort of sheer destruction to anybody's property.
As a fulltime member of the Lock Keepers at Audlem, you have before now kindly printed one of my short poems, I penned the following verse and if you should file it till the building as been restored to normal, or even print it in between I would be honoured..
Today it seems a regular sight, our buildings are no longer spared..
Some idiot with an aerosol can, sprays unwanted drawings and word..
I am sure we have no wish to see this, but they have to have their way..
Old and even some new
buildings, fall victim to the idiots who spray..
Talent it is a thing to be treasured, so if you have some let it shine through..
Please don't spoil our countryside, like this idiot with nothing better to do..
