Basically we have run out of birthdays.

It is becoming increasingly difficult to find people with birthdays on specific days that we have not featured before.

So we are going to try a new idea — each day we will highlight an incident which happened on this day some time in the past, give a little background and then pose a question related to it for you to answer,

There are no prizes on offer, other than the satisfaction of being a know-all, and of course the question might pop up in one of Ralph's Tuesday quizzes at the Lord Combermere, so you would have a head start.
