Ed: Several people have enquired about the changes taking place to the garden borders in front of the methodist Church, so we thought we would invite Nancy-May Goodwin, The Property Steward, to give us an update.
The New Look at The Methodist Church
We hope all our villagers will be happy with what we are trying to achieve in this very central spot in the village.
Firstly the front beds, which were becoming increasingly difficult to maintain in an attractive way, and the planting was beginning to invade the pavement area which, with the current social distancing measures, was not helpful.
They are being replaced with lovely troughs which members of the Chapel have bought together with ADAS who will add them to their planting scheme to create a cohesive look throughout the village.
Secondly, many of you will have seen the improvements to our Car Park area, used by so many, when popping to the Co Op or having a hair cut. (Donations ALWAYS welcome!) This has reduced the maintenance and slightly increased the parking area as large plants were invading some of the parking spaces.
