In a recent letter to members of Brookfield Golf Club the current position regarding Brookfield Golf Club has been somewhat clarified.
The owners of the golf course, the Reade family, have indicated to the members' action group that their consideration of an offer for the clubhouse and surrounding land is coming to a conclusion and agreement is likely to be signed early September.
Once this has happened all golf club activities, functions and bookings will cease.
It will be a sad day for the locality since the Golf Club has been a tremendous local amenity both for golf but also as a venue for social events which will be sorely missed.
