Tea and cakes were added attractions at Brambles Cookshop on Saturday, as proprietor Lisa Austin held a cake sale, which raised £101 for Audlem and District Community Action (ADCA).
Visitors to the Shropshire Street store were able to buy delicious slices of cake, cupcakes, biscuits and scones, all of which were home-baked by Lisa's husband Adrian and their friend Roger Tanner. They were also able to sample and buy tea from Brambles' new range of award-winning ACE tea varieties.
Brambles reopened last Wednesday after a 'mini makeover' and Lisa said she was very pleased with the response to her idea of a charity cake sale, something which she intends to repeat 'every couple of months or so' during the rest of the year.
