On Saturday April 13th Audlem running group completed a 5k timed park run at the Wammy in Newcastle under Lyme. The sun was bright like the myriad of Lycra & we had a great turn out with existing and new runners including some visiting offspring of existing members.

Congratulations to all our Audlem runners who completed the race. Five of our group members achieved top 20 final race positions including run leader Matt who took first place and Donna was the first female finisher.

Audlem runner (and group press officer ;) ) finished 133 out of 254 runners and was delighted with a pace which has been dramatically improved since running with the group.

To 'top' it off, it was our inaugural run wearing new kit proudly sponsored by Matt Eardley Fitness and Philippa Butler of Audlem Physiotherapy Clinic. Our visibility as a group received a warm response with other runners commenting and calls of "come on Audlem" from the volunteer marshals. We had a great morning and plan to make periodic park runs part of our running activity going forward.

If you'd like to join us for future park runs or any Saturday run we meet at the car park next to the playing field on Saturday morning 8.30am start.
