Audlem CC are pleased to announce the start of their 2017 Road Race season starting on Tuesday 4th July at 7 pm from the Scout and Guide Hall
These races are promoted under the rules and regulations of 'The League International' (TLI) and will take place every Tuesday evening in July
Each week there will be riders aged 16 to 70 from as far afield as Preston, North Wales, Derbyshire and Stourbridge, in categorised races on one of our two circuits (note- there are only 4 accredited circuits in Cheshire and we have half of them!)
The races- each 30 miles(48km) in length-will be marshalled by lead cars, motor bike out-riders and a 'tail-end' broom wagon and there will be roadside marshalls at all the necessary pinch points and junctions on the circuit.
All riders members of TLI which gives them full insurance whilst racing and we have the backing of the Constabularies of Cheshire and West Mercia who give their approval to these events being held on the public highway under the Racing on the Highways Act.
If you wish to come and watch, find out more or even help out with these events we would be happy to see you. Come along to the Scout Hall for 6-15 pm if you want to do some marshalling- we will give you a full briefing and there are refreshments for you after the events too.
Full details of the events can be found on the club website here
We do appreciate that there may be a few very minor hold ups for some traffic if it gets caught behind a race. We politely request that drivers remain calm- you will only be delayed by a couple of minutes
Thank you in advance for your understanding
This race series, along with our 2 Day event in September help to maintain the high profile of Audlem CC and "Audlem The Brand" as a vibrant community that engages with people from all over the county, the north west and the rest of the country
With many thanks for your time to read this article
