A Different Easter Poem

Easter in Audlem was different this year, as good people were all well aware..

Most had been self isolating at home, because of this coronavirus scare..

Like most parts of the world, it had taken it's hold and put us all on our guard..

It wasn't safe to be out, so most strayed no more than their own back yard.

Apart from those wonderful people, who would tend to all we would need..

Transport drivers and the check out staff, knew they had a nation to feed..

While on the frontline our very own NHS, better than any fighting machine..

The risks that they took and they never gave up, that was so plain to be seen.

And so many more gave their all, no matter how much or how small..

As in the old wartime spirit, they all got up and answered the call..

It seems overnight we have learnt, to become stronger than we were..

And when this is finally gone and is over, I hope we all continue to share..

Regards Robbo..

Stay Connected at Audlem St James CE Primary SchoolThis week again I felt more like a Headteacher as we welcomed Year 6 back. We have seen over 80 children back this week which has been fantastic and lovely to feel more children in school.
