Congratualtions to ASET (Audlem Special Events Team) on the magnificent event last night. A report has been received from ASET, as follows:-

"The ASET bonfire & firework display last night was the best attended we have ever had. The Bonfire was a beautifully controlled and totally safe burn. The Fireworks by Nemesis of Hough were tremendous. The crowd was estimated at 2500 by the police. Fire Service attended but had to leave on a "shout" — evidence of how well the ASET team were controlling matters of safety. The Fun Fair gave a real carnival atmosphere to the night and the vast majority of those who attended were aged 45 and below with many, many children. First Aid by TWINL First Aid team attended only three people for sore eyes."

"All in all a great night for Audlem — with the pubs packed to the ceiling. So they too enjoyed the crowds we brought into the village for what is becoming a very attractrive and safe occasion — and by 9.30am on Sunday, all evidence of the night was cleared away."
