It has often been said on this website that our village has an amazing group of talented people, and the exhibition of stitching by the South Cheshire Embroiderers Guild, many of whom are local Audlem residents, is a wonderful example of the artistry in the village.
The Guild, formed by Maggie Phillips, Ann Pearce, and Jackie Wolsey some 40 years ago and now counts some 96 members.
Their exhibition of work in the Public Hall this weekend should not be missed. There is one day left — today Sunday — so hurry along and enjoy the tea and cakes as well.
Here are some photos of their work, but it has to be seen in real life to be appreciated. Click on the photos to enlarge.
