Diamond Jubilee Street Party
By Pauline Griffiths - 7th June 2012 8:40am
Around 40 adults and children congregated at the junction of Heathfield Road and Hillary Drive to attend a street party on Tuesday to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
As well as an excellent afternoon tea, with British classics as a musical background, we took part in family games such as an egg and spoon race, a three-legged race and a skipping race.
A great time was enjoyed by all and we got to know some new neighbours too. What a fabulous time we all shared and even though we had a bit of rain, it didn't hamper our high spirits.
