Audlem "5A" Drama Group present Dave & Monique with a £500 cheque

An update on our story earlier today.

We are pleased to announce that Dave & Monique from Coxbank have successfully completed their 8-day cycle from Land's End to John 'o Groats.

Dave says of the final day's cycling: "Finished. In many respects that was the hardest day. Shorter but very hilly and a brutal headwind."

Of the ride overall, he adds: "The planning has been immaculate — apart from the fact I didn't pack trousers!"

Congratulations from Audlem Online on a fantastic achievement. We only hope that they are not turning straight around and cycling home to Coxbank!

This has been their route:

5th April Lands End to Whiddon Down 97 miles DAY 1
6th April Whiddon Down to Thornbury 110 miles DAY 2
7th April Thornbury to Coxbank 116 miles DAY 3
