Morris Care has announced the appearance of a celebrity guest at the launch event of its newly extended facilities at its Corbrook Court Nursing Home. The guest will be writer, broadcaster and social campaigner Claire Rayner. Claire began her career in nursing before turning to writing in 1960 and was appointed an OBE in 1996 for services to women and health issues.
The launch will be to officially open the newly completed 24 bedroom extension at the Corbrook Court Nursing Home in Audlem. The event will be held on Thursday October 18th from 2pm — 5pm, where there will be opportunities to meet Claire Rayner, view the new extension and its facilities and meet staff and residents.
Timothy Morris, Director of Morris Care said: "We thought Claire Rayner would be the ideal person to open our new extension and we were absolutely delighted when she accepted our invitation. Claire has dedicated many years to caring and guiding others and we are extremely pleased to have her as our guest."
Timothy added: "The development at Corbrook Court is good news for the local community, as we are not only providing extra nursing care facilities but we are also creating new career opportunities for people in Audlem and surrounding areas."
The newly constructed extension is in keeping with the original Edwardian style building, which stands in over 11 acres of grounds, with magnificent views over the local countryside just outside Audlem. The care home provides a wide range of nursing services including respite stays, post-operative convalescence and rehabilitation.
