We have received a warning message from a local resident about a young chap coming to the front door claiming to have been in trouble with the authorities, trying to sell things to support his case!!!!
Yesterday in the Chronicle there was a warning of con men doing this around the Crewe area and that this was against the law and not endorsed by the police despite what he says.
Clearly we can't be sure of this particular person's intentions, but in light of the police warning, it is as well to be very cautious in dealing with this sort of caller.
