On Saturday the 8th of November, starting at 10.00am at the Wharf (outside the Shroppie Fly), I will be holding a "Volunteer Lock-Keeper, Best-Practice and new Volunteer Lock Keeper Recruitment day" on-behalf of the Canal & River Trust.
The day involves getting all the Volunteer Lock-Keepers together from all around the canal network, to share best practice and up-skill volunteers and for anyone interested in becoming a Volunteer Lock-Keeper.
As part of the day we would like to invite anyone wishing to become a Volunteer Lock Keeper to come along and join in this historic, iconic and unique role, to see what is involved and the benefits of Volunteering.
Please contact Dek.Owen@networkrail.co.uk or 07771 831340 for more details.
