New book about T E Lawrence

T E Lawrence enthusiasts and those interested in Royal Navy history should come to Audlem Mill on Saturday 15 August, when maritime historian John Johnson-Allen will be signing copies of his new book "T E Lawrence and the Red Sea Patrol — The Royal Navy's role in creating the legend". Never before has there been a detailed look at the Royal Navy's pivotal role at the time of the Arab Revolt, which transformed Lawrence into a national hero and enduring legend.

Also available will be two of the author's other books, "They Couldn't Have Done it Without Us", the only book looking at the key role of the Merchant Navy in the Falklands conflict of 1982, and "Voices From the Bridge", personal recollections and anecdotes of merchant navy officers in the last days of the large scale British merchant navy operations.

John Johnson-Allen will be Audlem Mill from 12.00-3.00 on Saturday 15 August.

Please ring 01270 811059 in advance if you wish to reserve a book, as there is limited stock of all titles.
