This week's Nantwich Chronicle includes a tale that equals any that local character Billy Gibbons has ever been involved in.
It appears that a Chester woman, who does not want to be named for reasons all will fully understand, was shocked to find a strange phenomenum taking place in her toilet bowl.
Too much information, we hear you shouting! Well, the Chronicle tells us the phenomenum in question — shaped from a piece of soaked toilet paper — was at first thought to be Elvis Presley but on closer inspection proved to be Audlem's very own Billy Gibbons!
The newspaper even displays a photograph of the image which, even we cynics on Audlem Online have to admit, has more than a passing resemblance to Billy.
Audlem Online has been in touch with Billy to ask for his reaction. He retorted: "I've been told, for quite a few years, that I'm going 'down the pan' and 'I'm 'all washed up'...well....turns out, they may be right!!!!"
Whether this strange sighting will lead to a quasi-Gracelands tourist industry developing in Audlem is uncertain — but stranger things have happened after some far-fetched apparitions have appeared around world.
Any further reports of such sightings would be welcome but we reserve the right to limit those published to the clean and tasteful.
