Audlem St James' school report: "We are delighted to be welcoming children’s author Steve Hartley into school on Thursday 22nd March.
"Steve will be spending the day with us meeting all the children in school and leading assembly and writing workshops. This visit has been arranged in partnership with simply books, in Bramhall Village. Year 3 children from Underwood West Primary School, Crewe will be joining us for the morning.
"Steve Hartley is a very entertaining speaker and he will talk to the children about his life, how he became a writer as well as giving them tips for their own creative writing. Workshops will deliver for us include, creating characters and ‘how to make your writing sparkle’. You can find out more about Steve Hartley on his web site www.stevehartley.net
"Steve Hartley will be signing copies of his books at the end of the day and there is a list of the books on an accompanying letter, should you wish to have a memento of his visit. His books will also be on display in the school hall for you to see.
"Do call into school at the end of the day as he would love to meet parents and children."

As I left the Farm Foods cafe, I went into the Oxtail & Trotter butchers shop . Bought me a sheet of bacon ribs that I boil and enjoy to the full- making very good soup from the stock.
