Audlem Voices and The Cheshire Police Band Christmas Concert
Audlem Voices are delighted to announce that after many weeks of gallant practicing to get into the Christmas Spirit they are now ready to enthrall their audiences with one of their not to be missed unique Carol Services on Sunday 15th December at 7.00pm.
For this concert, we have been fortunate enough to combine our programme with the Cheshire Police Band. This band is a 'Traditional Brass Band' with a wide concert repertoire. Do they realize what they're letting themselves in for, I wonder?
There will be a wonderful array of familiar Christmas Carols, combined with hearty renditions from the band including the theme from 'The Great Escape'!
Jenny Collis-Smith, our conductor, will be cajoling the audience into some joint participation and fear not (for mighty dread) your voices will rise above the joint forces of both choir and band!
During the concert break you will be treated to a glass of mulled wine, to enhance your vocal chords, and a mince pie to really get you into the mood for the second half. There will also be a 'Grand Raffle' with some superb prizes!
We hope as many people as possible will pack into the church for our festive get together and we would particularly like to see more children — how often are they likely to be able to sing 'Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer' with a brass band?
Tickets are £7.50 and are available from Williams the Newsagents, The Post Office, or any member of Audlem Voices.
