The closing date for items for the Autumn 2009 issue of the Audlem Parish Council Newsletter is 10th October.

All items submitted will be given careful consideration. However, the Editorial Team is responsible for the content of the Newsletter and the final decision for inclusion rests with it.

You can submit material by email — newsletter@audlem.org">newsletter@audlem.org or post your item in the box situated in the Post Office.

Here's a snippet that might get Audlem historians interested.Reading a book entitled "Tales From The Old Inland Waterways", there is reference to the fact that there was a carpenter's workshop owned by the canal company on the wharf at Audlem. The carpenter was Bob Williams, and his main job was to do woodwork repairs to the locks in Audlem and Adderley flights. The date...
