Audlem Ladies FC training hard

The saga goes on as training continues apace. Far more than any training by the men's team!!!

This week we erected a set of goal posts so that Samara — skipper and goal keeper — should realise just how wide it is and how much air space she will need to cover in the game.

A rumour abroad that they may have more than one person between the posts! — we shall see .

Some of the men's team will inevitably be away on holiday but I am assured that a good 12 will be there on the 16th to face the very determined squad of girls .

Photo shows the girls that turned out in spite of a virtual monsoon at the start of the session.

Some superb innovative thinking here — even Jose Mourinho would be challenged to find a way through Audlem LFC's unique 11-0-0 formation.

Footwork and ball control improving every week under the guidance of Barry — manager, trainer and mentor along with Alan Brindley and Kev Mort of the men's team.

And meanwhile....

Whilst all this is building up, the tale of the use of the pitch goes on and I have been advised that I will be billed for £404 ! Just to play on our own playing field.

I do hope that the parish council will step up to the plate and meet this imposed community cost .
