Audlem Saints played the best football they have ever played on Sunday and ran out deserved 4-0 winners against Nantwich Bears.
The passing and running into space was simply superb. The first goal came with a straightforward series of passes from goalkeeper, through midfield to an attacker who beat two defenders and smashed home. The second goal was the most pleasing though. In a move that involved all six players an accurate cross was tucked away from only a yard out...by the player that had started the move. Marvellous stuff. Two further goals were added and the boys should be very proud of the way that they played — putting into practice all the things that we had been working at.
So, with two games to go, Saints are still unbeaten having won 13 and drawn 3. Next week at 12.10 they play Boro Boys — a team that made Saints work very hard for a 1-0 victory last time they met.
